Mark Moskowitz

Marquinho Pagodinho (a.k.a. Mark Moskowitz) fell in love with Brazilian music many years ago after Joao Gilberto, Astrud Gilberto and Stan Getz introduced Bossa Nova to the United States.

The desire to play and sign this music became a passion. The passion led to an obsession, and the obsession to led to a repertoire of Bossa Nova, Samba, Pagode and MPB (popular Bralizian music) that will entertain you for hours.

Marquinho, born in New York City, insists that "A cegonha me jogou no pais errado" (the stork dropped me in the wrong country) and after listening, you are sure to agree!

Al Barnes

Al Barnes hails from a small town in rural Minnesota called Elbow Lake. He got a guitar for Christmas when he was 14 and it changed his life. He taught himself how to play and formed a punk band with his childhood friends. After a dozen years of playing in a band around the Midwest, he moved out to sunny San Diego to pursue a folk music career. In July 2021, Al released his third solo album “You Can Call Me Alexander.” You can check out his blend of heartfelt and catchy, acoustic tunes on all music streaming apps as well as at BK Cellars!
